I am so excited to announce that we will begin offering online courses from the Grace Institute of Biblical Studies to anyone around the world who has access to a computer. As the director of G.I.B.S. for the last 25 years, my heart and prayer has been to make these scripturally sound classes available and accessible to anyone hungering to learn the Word of God in a deeper, grace-oriented way wherever they live. Why is this so needed?

  • Because the available theological institutions to train and prepare doctrinally sound expositors of God’s Word (who are not covenant but dispensational in their theology) are sadly lacking.
  • Because the opportunity now exists to train Bible teachers and future church leaders from within your local church without having to leave your local church to receive this training / teaching. This is wise!
  • Because it is very difficult in our day to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel (without doctrinal fuzziness & confusion), let alone sanctification by grace through faith in Christ based upon one’s position in Christ (even in evangelical & free grace circles).
  • Because many similar courses are taught by those who are disconnected from the local church or are not pastors on the front lines of the spiritual battle. Everything in G.I.B.S. is oriented to, and connected with, ministry in and through the local church.

Though we are very thankful wherever the Word of God is being taught accurately, the classes in G.I.B.S. involve clear, accurate, practical, and simple teaching from the Bible that is rightly divided with a pastoral, local church posture. Ironically, there is an increasing push among institutions today to have local-church based learning. G.I.B.S. has been ahead of the game in this matter and has been doing this for 25 years already. Thus, this method and our courses have been found to be tried and true, with each class designed to be transferable so that the student should be able to eventually teach these important truths to others as they have been taught them, as well as to be an independent exegete of the Scriptures. “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
